The Pakistani sports presenter Zainab Abbas has been deported from India for her old anti-Hindu and anti-India tweets. She had been in India as an anchor for the ongoing ICC World Cup 2023. The deportation came in the wake of a lawyer having filed a complaint against her at the cyber cell of Delhi police, alleging that she had hurled invectives on the Hindu deities in her tweets about nine years ago. It is learnt that she is presently in Dubai. This aside, she allegedly cast aspersions on India’s inability to produce a single fast bowler in all these years despite having such a huge population. Subsequently, she has not just been debarred from acting as an anchor for the ICC World Cup but deported from the country under several sections of the Indian Penal Code.
