The Uttarakhand government has started gearing itself up for the 100 per cent grounding of the projects whose MoUs have been signed before the proposed global investors summit slated to be held in Dehradun in December this year. The additional chief secretary (ACS) Radha Raturi has directed the Housing, Revenue, Uttarakhand Pollution Control Board, Finance and Planning departments to ensure speedy disposal of the problems being faced in execution of the MoUs on ground. In the meeting held on ease of doing business and single-window system at the State secretariat, the ACS directed the Housing department to inform the State government about the problems being faced by the investors in land use change, map approval and land related issues. She directed that all pending cases related to the Housing department should be prevented in the next meeting. Raturi directed the revenue and housing departments to work in coordination on the subject.

The ACS has directed the officers of the department of Industries to organise a workshop with the nodal officers of all departments for grounding of all MoUs. She also directed the department concerned for speedy disposal of all the pending proposals in the single-window portal.

The secretary, Uttarakhand Pollution Control Board said that disposal of all the applications is being done by them in time. He said that due to some technical issues some proposals are pending on the single-window portal  and they too will be disposed of with the cooperation of the department of Industries.

The ACS will conduct a separate review of the Revenue department for 100 per cent grounding of the MoUs.
