Nagar panchayat status for Guptkashi & Kempty Falls

In latest news from Dehradun, the State cabinet has approved as many as 30 proposals at its meeting held at the Secretariat. Among the major decisions is the one related to the State government employees’ pension. The employees, who retired after the government notification introducing new pension scheme was issued, have been given the choice of opting for either the old pension scheme or the new pension scheme. This aside, the cabinet has approved Nagar Panchayat status to Guptkashi and Kemty Falls near Mussoorie. The other important decisions taken during the cabinet meeting include the introduction of single window system through amendments in the State tourism policy 2023, formation of Rajaji Tiger Conservation Foundation on the lines of Corbett Tiger Foundation, subsidy policy meant to boost wheat production to be extended by one year and special package for high-volume investment.
