The office bearers of the Parvatiya Mahaparishad, Lucknow met the chief minister Pushkar Singh Dhami in Lucknow on Tuesday and demanded operation of Vande Bharat train service between Dehradun and Lucknow. The CM is on a visit to Uttar Pradesh. A delegation of the Mahaparishad led by its president Ganesh Chandra Joshi met the CM and handed over a memorandum. The delegation requested that lakhs of people of Uttarakhand reside in the districts of eastern UP and they face problems in travelling to Dehradun. The delegation demanded that a Vande Bharat express should be operated between Dehradun and Lucknow. The CM assured the delegation that he will meet the Union minister of Railways and request him for Vande Bharat train service between these two stations.
