FDP concludes at Shri Venkateswara University

A seven-day faculty development programme organised in the Shri Venkateshwara University concluded on the weekend. The event was attended by more than 150 teachers and officials of universities and higher educational institutions from across the country. Speaking as the chief guest, the vice chancellor of KN Modi University, DK Pathak said that the nation which has an education system lacking in values is bound to degenerate. Considering this, it is important to have values along with technology, research and innovation in education, he said. APG Shimla University vice chancellor Ramesh Chaudhary said that teachers should first update themselves according to national and international requirements and then guide the youth forward towards nation building.

The Venkateshwara Group chairman Sudhir Giri said on the occasion that the role of teachers is most important in the development of a new India. During the seven-day programme, noted educationalists talked to the teachers about the importance of upgrading while stressing on the value of innovations, research and development.
