The Ayush department is planning to implement most of the Memoranda of Understanding (MoU) reached with different companies on ground before the proposed global investors summit in December. The department has so far inked MoUs worth Rs 4,000 crore in Ayush and wellness sectors. The Ayush secretary Pankaj Kumar Pandey told The Pioneer that efforts are being made to ground projects worth Rs 800 crore on ground before the start of the summit. He said that the State is eliciting very good response from the investors in the field of Ayush. Pandey informed that the department has taken a target to attract investment worth Rs 5,000 crore from the summit. Expressing confidence that the target will be achieved Pandey said that MoUs worth Rs 4,000 crore have already been signed and the department is now focussing on groundings of these proposals. He said that two MoUs worth Rs 500 crore each have been signed with the Patanjali Ayurveda while an agreement of Rs 1,700 crore has been signed with Kumar Group of Industries. Pandey added that the State government is offering incentives to the entrepreneurs for setting up business in the State. “In the Ayush policy we have made a provision of additional five per cent incentives which is apart from those given under the MSME policy,’’ he said.
