The Prime Minister Narendra Modi congratulated the Team India on his social media posts as it stormed into the ODI World Cup final by thrashing the mighty New Zealand team. He also wished the team members success for the WC final slated on November 19. The PM lauded the superlative performance of the bowler Mohammad Shami in the semi-final match. Notably, he had demolished the Kiwis batting order by taking seven wickets conceding 57 runs in 9.5 overs. Modi in his congratulatory post said that the cricket lovers would remember Shami’s brilliant performance for generations to come. He also showered glowing praise on the batter Virat Kohli and wished that he would keep on shattering old records and making new ones in years to come.
