The health minister Dhan Singh Rawat visited the All India Institute of Medical Sciences (AIIMS) Rishikesh on Wednesday to meet the admitted labourers. He interacted with the labourers and doctors and inquired about their health. The minister directed the AIIMS administration and doctors on providing better health care service to the admitted labourers. He said that the mission to save the stranded labourers succeeded because of untiring efforts of the Union and State governments. The officiating director of AIIMS Rishikesh Dr Meenu Singh, Chief Medical Officer (CMO) Dehradun Dr Sanjay Jain and other officers accompanied Rawat.
