ED attaches Kishan Chand’s assets worth over Rs 31 crore

The Enforcement Directorate (ED) has attached the property of former IFS officer Kishan Chand worth over Rs 31 crore who is an accused in a disproportionate assets case.

The ED attached a school building in Haridwar and a stone crusher plant in Roorkee in its anti-money laundering action. The district magistrate of Rudraprayag had also complained against Kishan Chand to the government in 2015 on disciplinary matters and many other serious issues. 

He was also accused of irregularities in the construction work in the Kumbh area in 1999. Besides this, he was also accused of several irregularities during his posting in Rajaji National Park like illegal cutting of trees and construction works.
