India’s high commissioner to Brunei,  Alok Amitabh Dimri said integrated learning has the potential to improve administrative efficiency. He said this in a programme which was organised in Doon University on Thursday.

During the programme he emphasised that learning is a continuous process and that it is essential to adopt a multidisciplinary approach to truly grasp its essence. In a world characterised by complex interconnections, knowledge should surpass traditional boundaries. By integrating insights from various disciplines, everyone can develop a comprehensive understanding that fosters innovation and adaptability.

Dimri further highlighted the value of multidisciplinary education in enriching our knowledge. Given the current times, it is crucial to have a profound understanding of geographical features, resources and regional dynamics in order to formulate diplomatic policies and assess potential threats. Access to reliable information on territories, borders and global trends is crucial for policymakers to make well-informed decisions that impact international relationships, he added.

“The integration of learning can enhance administrative efficiency, enabling more accurate responses to educational difficulties and the effective management of bureaucratic obstacles. Consequently, this integration can facilitate improved coordination between various educational levels, thereby promoting a coherent and uninterrupted learning experience for students.

Additionally, teachers should possess the ability to establish meaningful connections between knowledge and current demands, extending their expertise beyond their specific domain and linking it with other subjects,” said Dimri.
