Martyrs’ remains reach home, CM pays homage

In latest news from Uttarakhand, the mortal remains of the two martyrs from Garhwal, Uttarakhand who fell to terror bullets in Poonch area of the Rajoiri sector in Jammu and Kashmir in the past few days have been brought to their respective homes in Kotdwar in Pauri district and Chamoli. Earlier, the chief minister Pushkar Singh Dhami placed wreaths on the coffins of the martyrs at the Jolly Grant Airport as these arrived on a special aircraft and said that the country would hold these martyrs in grateful remembrance forever and their supreme sacrifice would keep insprining people to dedicate themseves to the cause of the country. He further said that the State government stood by the bereaved families of these bravehearts at every moment. Notably, Rifleman Gautam hailing from Kotdwar and Naik Virendra Singh Kumar from Chamoli had fallen to the terror bullets while fighting the separatists in Rajoiri sector of J & K.
