A student of Doon University has been selected to pursue a summer study programme at the London School of Economics (LSE). Sharing this, Doon University vice chancellor Surekha Dangwal said that Shruti, a second-year undergraduate student in the Department of Economics, has earned the opportunity after competing globally. She will be studying at LSE from June to August 2024. She will learn from distinguished economics professors and build academic connections. Dangwal mentioned that nothing brings more joy to a university than seeing its students excel in their academic pursuits.

Further, Shruti shared that she had applied for the economics subject and for the course titled “The Wealth (and Poverty) of Nations: Global Economic Development Past and Present” with the plate number EC104. The selection process for LSE Summer School involves submitting an application, which includes details about the applicant’s academic background and a personal statement. The admissions committee evaluates various factors such as qualifications, motivation, and relevant experience. It is a competitive process as LSE has a brand value and offers world-class experience, she added.
