Ahead of the Pran Pratishtha of Lord Ram in the Ram temple in Ayodhya, the Bharatiya Janata Party will conduct a special cleaning campaign in all pilgrimage centres, temples and religious sites of other religions across the State.  The party has also formed a State-level team for this campaign.

The BJP State media in-charge Manveer Singh Chauhan informed that this national level campaign will be undertaken in the State from January 14 to 22. As part of this campaign, the party workers will undertake a special cleaning campaign around pilgrimage centres, temples and religious sites of other religions. On the directions of the BJP State president Mahendra Bhatt, the party MPs, MLAs and organisational office bearers have been allocated different areas and are expected to lend their support to ensure the success of this campaign. The compounds of the religious sites will be swept, plastic waste will be collected, dustbins will be placed and other steps for sanitation will be taken for two to three hours daily. Local bodies and other public institutions will also make the campaign more effective with public participation, Chauhan said. Members of various sections of society and prominent citizens will also be invited to participate in this special campaign. The BJP State president said that this campaign is in line with Prime Minister Narendra Modi’s view that cleanliness is the highest devotion after devotion to the lord.

Chauhan further informed that on Bhatt’s directions, a five-member State-level committee has been formed for this campaign. The party’s State vice president Kailash Sharma is the convenor of the committee which includes party office bearers Meera Raturi, Ramesh Chauhan, Jaipal Singh and Vivek Saxena as members. It has been decided that committees will also be formed to ensure the success of this campaign at the Mandal and district levels, Chauhan added.
