In latest news from Uttarakhand, the Roorkee Municipal Corporation and the Civil Line police jointly conducted an anti-encroachment drive during which several unauthorised structures were razed down by earthmoving machines in the civil line areas of the town. However, no official confirmation has come as both the civic body and the police officers chose to keep mum on the drive. Even the corporation employees, engaged in the operation, refrained from saying a word on it.
