The additional director general of police (Crime, Law and Order) AP Anshuman on Friday directed the senior/superintendent of police of all districts to complete the preparations regarding the Lok Sabha election 2024 on time to ensure it can be conducted safely. He also directed them to make strong police arrangements to maintain peace, communal harmony and law and order in their respective areas during the consecration programme of Lord Ram in Uttar Pradesh’s Ayodhya on January 22.
The ADG stated this during a video conference with all senior police officials of the State. He also directed them to conduct checks in public places like railway stations, bus stations, marketplaces, and religious places among others ahead of Republic Day. Anshuman directed them to make patrolling teams to conduct all inspections on time. He ordered district in-charges to keep a special vigilance on border areas of the State. He asked them to ensure owners of all hotels, Dharamshalas and guest houses in the State are complying with C Form rules regarding the stay of foreign citizens in their establishments.
Besides this, he also expressed his disappointment over the district in-charges of Haridwar, Uttarkashi, Rudraprayag, Udham Singh Nagar, Bageshwar and Champawat for not taking required action in the campaign related to serving of non-bailable warrants, asset attachment warrants and verification of tenants. Anshuman directed them to make necessary improvements regarding all these campaigns in their respective districts.
