In latest news from Doon, to mark the National Voters’ Day, the senior superintendent of police Dehradun Ajai Singh led the police officers and personnel in the police line to pledge themselves to stay wedded to the democratic values of the State and facilitate free and fair election by remaining immune to any secretariat consideration related to caste, creed and language. Police said that the pledge taking programme was organised under the direction of the Election Commission. Aside from this principal programme, such programmes were organised at the levels of the police stations and police posts across the district.
