In latest news from Doon, in major operations, the Enforcement Directorate (ED) conducted raids on the Haridwar premises of the former divisional forest officer Kishan Chand at a time when raid was being conducted at the Dehradun residence of the senior Congress leader and former minister Harak Singh Rawat. The team worked at Kishan Chand’s residence for about four hours, sources said and added that the raids were sequel to the investigation into the alleged illegal construction carried out in the Kalagarh forest range and unauthorised tree felling in Pakhro range of Corbett Tiger Reserve. Notably, two senior IFS officers had been suspended in connection with the scam. Later, SIT had arrested Kishan Chand in Delhi. In April last, he had got conditional bail from the High Court.
