The new  building of the Himalayan Centre of Innovation and Entrepreneurship (HCIE) was inaugurated on the occasion of Vasant Panchami on Wednesday. It was inaugurated by the President of Swami Rama Himalayan University (SRHU) Vijay Dhasmana and Chancellor Rajendra Dobhal. This new building is specially built to help students venture into start-ups.

Dhasmana said on the occasion that the purpose of this new building is to establish a robust infrastructure for start-ups and new ideas that will contribute to significant job opportunities with economic development. Dobhal also stated that starting a start-up is not easy as one has to face various challenges, ups and downs before getting any success.  In such cases, young people need assistance and HCIE will provide them with the technical support they need to succeed in start ups. He said that they will assist students in every possible way so that they can become skilled entrepreneurs.
