In latest news from Uttarakhand, the tourists who thronged Nainital on the weekend visited several places on sight- seeing tours on Saturday and Sunday. The most-visited places included the Cave Garden, Woodland Water Fall and Himalayan Botanical Garden. While appreciating the increased weekend tourist footfalls, the hoteliers and tour operators said that the number of tourists had dipped compared to last year’s figures. They attributed it to scarce snowfall this season. “There is less tourist footfall here in February thus far. However, we hope things would change for the better in March’s first week,” said the president of Nainital Hotel and Restaurant
Association Digvijay Singh Bisht.
