Block Pramukh of Pabo in Pauri district, Rajni Rawat and her supporters left the Congress and joined the Bharatiya Janata Party on Wednesday. The BJP State president Mahendra Bhatt welcomed them to the party at his official residence. He exhorted them to work for achieving the mission of Prime Minister Narendra Modi to win more than 400 seats in the Lok Sabha elections. Assuring them that their sentiments will be looked after in the BJP, he said that the people are experiencing the development works taking place under Modi at the Centre and chief minister Pushkar Singh Dhami in the State.
Speaking on the occasion, Rawat said that she was impressed by the development works in her area and had joined the BJP to participate in the efforts to make Uttarakhand a leading State.
