In latest news from Doon, the long-awaited Dehradun-Tanakpur train is all set to be launched from Tankapur station on the evening of Saturday. As per the Northern Railway officials, while the train is scheduled to depart from Tanakpur station at 7.40 pm it will reach Dehradun station at 7.35 am the next day on the maiden run of the train. Again, it will depart from Dehradun station at 3.15 pm on Sunday. The important stations the new train will halt include Banbasa, Khatima, Pilibhit, Bareilly City, Bareilly Junction, Moradabad, Naziabad, Laksar and Haridwar. The Deradun station superintendent Ravindra Kumar said that they had already received the approval letter from the Northern Railway and the train would run on its maiden journey on Saturday.
