Chief minister Pushkar Singh Dhami presented appointment letters to 84 candidates selected for various departments under the out-of-turn employment scheme for medal winning sportspersons on Monday.
Among the candidates selected, 31 were appointed in Sports department, 25 in Transport department and 28 in Horticulture department. Referring to the sports policy 2021, he said that the State is fulfilling its promise of providing out-of-turn government jobs to players who win medals at international and national levels.
Sports minister Rekha Arya said that the government had decided to secure the future of sportspersons by providing them out of turn employment.
