The Bharatiya Janata Party State president Mahendra Bhatt said that the people believe in the developmental politics of Prime Minister Narendra Modi and not the politics of the opposition which relies on spreading lies. When the Congress candidates enter the field they will realise that the people have decided to make Modi the PM for the third time, he said.
Interacting with the media on various issues on Friday, Bhatt said that the BJP is seeking votes from the public on the basis of the works done by PM Modi and chief minister Pushkar Singh Dhami. In a decade, the Modi government has achieved all-round development while also enabling a religious-cultural revival. PM Modi has also been successful in bringing about a positive change in the political culture in India. The politics based on development and welfare of the poor, which the BJP is pursuing, is being accepted by the public. All candidates of the BJP are approaching the public with a commitment to make India a developed nation by 2047 and making this decade Uttarakhand’s.
Responding to statements made by State Congress leaders regarding the Agnipath scheme and the law and order situation in Uttarakhand, Bhatt said that the people have replied to these questions many times. The youth today are participating in large numbers in the Agnipath recruitment rallies. The Congress is unable to digest this and is resorting to spreading confusion. The BJP State president said that it is unfortunate the Congress is consistently playing politics in the Ankita Bhandari murder case whereas it is public knowledge that the accused were promptly arrested, evidence was collected and that both the court and the public were satisfied with these aspects and the investigation into the case. This case is sub judice and the government is fighting the legal battle along with the bereaved family to ensure the strictest punishment to the guilty. Despite this, the Congress is spreading lies in the matter for political gains, Bhatt added.
