In latest news from Uttarakhand, the Congress candidate for Tehri Lok Sabha constituency Jot Singh Gunsola hit the campaign trail in Uttarkashi, hitting out at the BJP governments both at the Centre and the State for ignoring the development aspirations of the youth. Earlier, on his arrival, he was welcomed by a large throng of district Congress leaders and activists. After offering prayer at the Viswanath temple, he addressed a public meeting near a prominent dharamsala. While dubbing the Agniveer scheme as a ploy to deceive the youth, he said that if elected, he would link the youth with development initiatives. He further said that if blessed with the people’s mandate, he would go all-out to promote tourism and adventure sports, adding that his party is focusing on national issues like social justice, economic uplift, youth development and women empowerment
