PM Modi, UP CM Yogi in the list of BJP’s star campaigners for U’khand

 Prime Minister Narendra Modi, national president of BJP J P Nadda, union home minister Amit Shah and Uttar Pradesh chief minister Yogi Adityanath figure in the list of star campaigners released by the BJP for Uttarakhand.

 The state media in charge of BJP Manvir Singh Chauhan said that on the proposal of the state committee, the party high command has finalised a list of 40 star campaigners for the Lok Sabha elections. He said that PM Modi, BJP president JP Nadda and many senior leaders of the party will address election rallies in support of party candidates in Uttarakhand.

The list of star campaigners also includes defence minister Rajnath Singh, Uttarakhand chief minister Pushkar Singh Dhami, Union ministers Nitin Gadkari, Smriti Irani, Anurag Thakur, former CM of Madhya Pradesh (MP) Shivraj Singh Chauhan, former union minister of state General ( Retd) V K Singh, in charge of Uttarakhand BJP Dushyant Kumar Gautam, State BJP president Mahendra Bhatt, Haryana CM Nayab Singh Saini and Manjinder Singh Sirsa. The list also includes former chief ministers of Uttarakhand Ramesh Pokhriyal Nishank, Trivendra Singh Rawat, Tirath Singh Rawat, Vijay Bahuguna, union minister of state Ajay Bhatt, Ajay Baluni, film star and party MP Hema Malini and Manoj Tiwari.

The names of Uttarakhand ministers Satpal Maharaj, Premchand Agarwal, Subodh Uniyal, Dhan Singh Rawat, Ganesh Joshi, Rekha Arya and Saurabh Bahuguna figure in the list. It is interesting to note that names of many senior leaders who had defected to BJP in recent times such as Colonel ( Rtd) Ajay Kothiyal, Manish Khanduri and Rajendra Singh Bhandari do not figure in the list of star campaigners.
