In latest news from Uttarakhand, the Uttarkashi district magistrate Meharban Singh Bisht reviewed preparations for Gangotri pilgrimage which is commencing on May 10. He, particularly, took stock of the road condition ahead of the yatra. He offered prayers at the Ganga temple in Mukhwa-the winter abode of Maa Ganga- and then discussed the yatra arrangements with the priests of the shrine. He stressed on installation of guardrails for the pilgrims’ safety. The superintendent of police Uttarkashi Arpan Yaduvanshi was present with the DM.
