The BJP MLA and senior leader Vinod Chamoli has said that the Rudrapur rally of Prime Minister Narendra Modi and the enthusiastic support of public he received has reaffirmed that BJP candidates will register landslide victories in all the five Lok Sabha seats of Uttarakhand. Addressing media persons here on Wednesday, the BJP leader said that the Rudrapur rally was one of the biggest public meetings of the State and the manner in which the PM established a connect with people was outstanding. He said that in the last 10 years PM Modi has delivered what he has promised. Chamoli said that the PM played a key role in reconstruction of Kedarnath shrine and acted as a brand ambassador for the area. The Char Dham project has opened new avenues for development of the area and now the PM has set his focus on the Manaskhand ( Kumaon ) region of the State. The PM’s visit to Adi Kailash and Jageshwar has put these areas in the tourism map of the world.
He said that the Global Investors summit held in December last year was a huge success and so far Memorandum of Understandings (MoU) worth Rs 1.25 lakh crore have been grounded. The summit has ushered in a new era of economic development of the State.
The BJP leader said that PM Modi’s rally and speech in Rudrapur has set up the tone of BJP’s victory in all the five seats of Uttarakhand. “ We are now planning to ensure that all the five candidates win from their respective constituencies by a margin of more than five lakh votes and for it we have taken a target to corner 70 per cent votes in every seat,’’ he said.
