In latest news from Uttarakhand, following the instructions of the Election Commission of India, the Uttarkashi district administration has made elaborate arrangements to facilitate the octogenarian and physically challenged people to cast votes from their homes from April 8 to April 10. As per the district election officers, 484 senior citizens and physically challenged voters have applied to avail vote from home facility.
The district election officer Meharban Singh Bisht said after reviewing election preparations with the officers concerned that a micro observer would also be present with each polling team and the entire process would be videographed during the vote from home process.
