The Pradesh Congress Committee (PCC) president Karan Mahara has said that the huge crowds in the rallies of Congress general secretary Priyanka Gandhi in Ramnagar and Roorkee has proved that the people are looking at the Congress party with great hope. He expressed his gratitude to workers of the party for the mega success of the rallies of Priyanka Gandhi in the State on Saturday.
He said that Prime Minister Narendra Modi, who came to Uttarakhand two days ago, did not speak anything on any of the burning issues and dedicated his speech on cursing the Congress and evoking religion. “On the contrary,. Priyanka Gandhi drew the attention of the people on the real issues and the major problems of the state,’’ he said.
Mahara said that Gandhi touched upon the issues of farmers, Ankita Bhandari murder case, women safety and Agnipath scheme in her address.
He claimed that the rallies of Priyanka Gandhi have infused new enthusiasm among the party workers.
