Congress manifesto a bundle of lies: Kale

The Congress manifesto about which the party’s general secretary Priyanka Gandhi spoke during her rallies in Uttarakhand, is a bundle of lies. The Bharatiya Janata Party national media team member Mamta Kale said this while addressing the media here on Sunday. She pointed out that while Gandhi called for justice for women, the Congress has not fielded a single woman candidate in Uttarakhand in the Lok Sabha election. “She talks a lot on women’s rights but ‘Main Ladki Hun, Lad Sakti Hun’ campaign poster girl Archana Gautam and her father were beaten and ousted from the AICC office in Delhi. Their senior leader Randeep Surjewala made an objectionable comment on Hema Malini but Gandhi remained silent. Their spokesperson Supriya Shrinate made a derogatory comment on a woman candidate but here again the Congress remained silent. Rahul Gandhi made a resolve to finish Adishakti but she still remained silent. Nobody has faith in Priyanka Gandhi’s and Congress’ Nyari Nyay,” Kale said.
Referring to the Rs one lakh promised annually to poor women in the Congress manifesto, she questioned what had prevented the Congress from providing such help during the 55 years it was in power. The Congress should clarify why this Rs one lakh was not provided by its three State governments currently in office and its past State governments. Kale further questioned how many times Gandhi had gone to the remote mountainous areas of Uttarakhand to learn about the problems of the people, adding that simply visiting Dehradun does not connect one to Uttarakhand. “Women today are flying fighter planes and also guarding the borders of the nation. Because of Prime Minister Narendra Modi the inflation rate is five per cent while the unemployment rate is 3.1 per cent which is the minimum level so far. India is today the world’s fifth largest economy and is bound to reach the third position in PM Modi’s third term. The nation is changing and moving forward under PM Modi’s leadership but the Congress is constantly moving backwards while wanting to take the nation backwards too with its hollow announcements and illogical policies.. The people of the nation understand well and will leave the Congress with the least Lok Sabha seats so far,” Kale added.
