The annual blood donation drive hosted by UPES concluded recently. An initiative of the department of student welfare (DSW) and Corporate Social Responsibility (CSR), the three-day event served as a call for individuals from all walks of life to come together and contribute towards a common cause of saving lives, the university’s office bearers said and added that UPES had partnered with the IMA Blood Bank, Dehradun, and Shri Mahant Indiresh Hospital, Dehradun, to orchestrate the effort. Over 1600 volunteers donated blood, UPES said, adding that it would continue to engage in such programmes to inspire positive changes and make a meaningful difference in society.
