Bangladeshi national detained at airport, released

In latest news from Doon, with intense security checking continuing at Jolly Grant airport ahead of the Lok Sabha election, the security personnel detained a Bangladeshi national and found 14,800 US dollars on him. He arrived at Dehradun airport from Delhi and he is learnt to be flying from Saudi Arabia. He was identified as Md Rafsan. A joint team of police, Central Industrial Security Force (CISF) and Income Tax department officers detained him for questioning and thereafter he was released.
Police said that during interrogation, he said that he was working for a gift company in Saudi Arabia and he was heading to Saharanpur via Delhi. He is learnt to have further told the security personnel that the company had given him the US dollars he was carrying for buying some gift items from Saharanpur.
