Chief Minister Pushkar Singh Dhami attended the nomination rally of BJP candidate from East Delhi Lok Sabha constituency Harsh Malhotra on Wednesday. He also attended a road-show and addressed a public meeting in support of Malhotra.
Dhami said that he has come to Delhi from the land of Badrinath, Kedarnath, Ganga and Yamuna to seek support for BJP candidate Malhotra. He expressed confidence that people of Delhi will support BJP and help in making Narendra Modi the Prime Minister of the country for the third consecutive term. Dhami said that under the leadership of PM Modi, India has become the fifth largest economy of the world and it is moving ahead on the path of becoming a world leader.
Launching an attack on the Congress party, Dhami said that the manifesto of the party appears as the manifesto of Muslim league. He said that Uttarakhand holds the distinction of passing the bill on Uniform Civil Code (UCC) but the Congress, AAP and their alliance partners talk about Muslim personal law and not UCC.
He said that in Congress-led Karnataka efforts are being made to give reservation to a specific community by snatching the rights of SC, ST and OBC. Dhami said that while Congress is playing vote bank politics, the BJP is concerned about ‘ Sabka Vikas, Sabka Vishwas and Sabka Prayas’.
Dhami added that Arvind Kejriwal and his party pretended to engage in politics of honesty to come to power but now Kejriwal is in jail on charges of corruption. He alleged that AAP has used the broom on the income of the general public.
The national secretary Alka Gurjar, Vijendra Gupta, Anil Gupta and others were present on the occasion.
