With the registration of the plot allotted by the Uttar Pradesh government for the construction of Uttarakhand Bhawan in Ayodhya, Uttarakhand is all set to become the first State in India to have its guest house in the pilgrim town revered as the birthplace of Lord Ram. Expressing happiness over completion of all formalities for the long-awaited guest house in Ayodhya, the chief minister Pushkar Singh Dhami said on Wednesday that in line with the State government’s pledge, the guest house would be built at the earliest to facilitate accommodation of the people of Devbhoomi visiting Ayodhya to pay obeisance to Lord Ram. Notably, this plot is located seven km (aerial distance three km) away from the Ram Mandir.

With the registration of the plot being completed, Dhami directed the officers concerned to prepare a detailed project report (DPR) for construction of Uttarakhand Bhawan.
To recall, following the consecration of the Ram temple in Ayodhya,   CM had appealed to his UP counterpart Yogi Adityanath to allot a suitable plot for building Uttarakhand Bhawan in the holy city. To speed things up, he had immediately approved Rs 32 crore for the purchase of land. Acting on the appeal, the Yogi government had approved the allotment of the plot following which the UP Housing Development Council had allotted 5253.30 square meter plot for the construction of Uttarakhand Bhawan.
