In latest news from Uttarakhand, a day ahead of the commencement of the Char Dham Yatra, the Uttarkashi district Meharban Singh Bisht visited Yamunotri pilgrimage area and inspected preparations. He stressed on all strictly implementing the fixed rates and rotation system of horses/ mules and QR code based deposit system for control and management of plastic waste. He warned of strict action in case of overcharging of services and littering. He also appealed to the temple committee members, locals and traders to cooperate.
While visiting various stops along the Yamunotri Yatra route, including Jankichatti, he inspected yatri registration centre aside from health, drinking water, electricity, parking, cleanliness and toilets facilities. He reviewed prearations at a meeting with officials, temple committee members officials and local public representatives at Jankichatti.
