Chief Secretary Radha Raturi has directed the government departments to purchase only the standardised and certified products. She said that the youngsters of the State should be encouraged to launch their start ups by making arrangements for training of management systems, certification, customisation and quality.
The CS gave these orders while chairing the fourth meeting of the State level committee on standardisation and quality of the industrial products of Uttarakhand at the State secretariat on Wednesday. She requested the Bureau of Indian Standards (BIS) to release its regular calendar regarding the training and certification of products. Raturi said that capacity building of the State level officers for standardisation and certification should be done and awareness campaigns among students and at Panchayat level should be undertaken.
