The additional director general of police (Crime, Law and Order) AP Anshuman directed the officials to make suitable arrangements at Rishikesh, Haridwar and other designated places to halt the pilgrims there if the Char Dham shrines already have devotees as per prescribed capacity. He stated this in a meeting held at the Police headquarters on Thursday. He instructed the officials concerned to act against those carrying out photography and videography inside Char Dham shrines and discourage them from doing the same in the temple premises considering the safety and security there. He instructed them to take immediate action against those involved in indecent acts at temples and nearby places under Operation Maryada. Besides this, the ADG also directed the police to take legal action against those spreading misinformation regarding Char Dham Yatra.
