In latest news from Uttarakhand, in a first of its kind incident, police drove jeep right inside the general surgery emergency ward on the third floor of the AIIMS Rishikesh to arrest the accused nursing officer who had allegedly molested a junior resident doctor. Even though the junior doctor had filed a complaint with police station and an internal inquiry was conducted, the accused remained at large. This promoted the senior resident and junior resident doctors to stage a sit-in, demanding immediate arrest of the accused.
Police finally sat up and to arrest the accused, they drove their SUV straight into an emergency ward. Later, the accused was arrested.
