In latest news from Uttarakhand, at least 15 pilgrims visiting Badrinath Dham were caught making reels within the shrine premises openly violating the State government order that prohibits people from shooting reels within 50 metre radius of the four shrines.
Police slapped chalans on them and seized their mobile phones. After eight hours, the phones were returned to their owners but they were made to pay Rs 500 as fine for defying the order.
