In latest news from Uttarakhand, to make it easier for the pilgrims visiting Kumaon under the much-hyped Manaskhand Mandir Mala Mission, 16 ropeways will be set up. Notably, 39 ropeways are to be set up across the State under a project and out of these 16 would be set up in Kumaon region. The feasibility test for the 16 ropeways proposed for Kumaon has already started.
The ancient temples included in the Mandir Mala Mission are Jageshwar Mahadev Mandir and Katarmal Surya Mandir (Almora), Maa Purnagiri Mandir and Maa Purnagiri Mandir (Champawat), Patal Bhuvaneshwar Mandir (Pithoragarh), Naina Devi Mandir (Nainital), Baijnath Mandir (Bageshwar) and Chaitadham Mandir ( Udham Singh Nagar).
