In latest news from Uttarakhand, while taking part in the Honey Festival at Raj Bhavan, the Governor Lt Gen Gurmit Singh (rtd) felicitated some of the successful bee farmers and said that bee farming would contribute substantially to Uttarakhand’s economic development in the coming days. The festival was organised by the Govind Ballabh Pant University of Agriculture and Technology.
The Krishi Vigyan Kendra of the university organised an exhibition that showed honey-related products. Besides, the bee farmers pitched stalls as part of the festival and Singh visited all of them.
