The Nainital municipality conducted a trial to ferry four persons in an electric car to the Nainital zoo on Sunday. The trial was conducted to prevent inconvenience to the visitors in the absence of a shuttle service to the zoo. The municipality’s executive officer Atul Bhandari said that the trial with the electric car was successful. However, the cost of the electric car is high considering which various aspects are being considered to deploy it for the shuttle service. He said that the municipality will soon start the operation of four taxis to provide shuttle service to the zoo so that the tourists do not face any inconvenience.
