In latest news from Uttarakhand, senior IAS officer Sheetal Nanda has been appointed observer by the Election Commission for the counting of votes polled in the three assembly segments-Purola, Yamunotri and Gangotri- located within Uttarkashi district. She reviewed the counting preparations made at the Government Kirti Inter College in Uttarkashi town.
The district magistrate Meharban Singh Bisht apprised the observer of the preparations taken by the district administration to ensure peaceful and hassle-free counting.
