Workshop organised at Sainik School Ghorakhal

A two-day workshop for teachers organised at Sainik School, Ghorakhal ended on Tuesday. The workshop was on the use of digital technology in teaching, learning and assessment. It was organised by Central Institute of Education Technology (CIET), NCERT, Delhi.
The principal of the school, Group Captain Vijay Singh Dangwal inaugurated the workshop. In the workshop Rezaul Karim Borbhuiyan introduced the students to various aspects of cyber crime and cyber security. The experts informed teachers about the importance of digital technology and its contribution in teaching and learning. Teachers were exposed to new methods of teaching and assessment through digital technology.
“A total of 32 teachers from six schools participated in this workshop. They actively participated in various sessions and shared their experiences on development of digital learning content and its effective use. Teachers described this workshop as extremely informative and inspiring. This workshop exposed the teachers to new dimensions of education in the digital age and inspired them to adopt modern teaching methods,’’ according to a communique from the school.
