The state government has extended the online registration process for admission in the first semester of the graduate courses in the government colleges, aided colleges, private and State universities. The students can now register themselves for admission in the Smarth portal till June 14.
The higher education minister Dhan Singh Rawat said that many students had requested for reopening the Smarth portal for admission and the government has accepted their request. He said that youth will not be deprived from receiving higher education.
The process of the admissions based on merit will start in the colleges and universities from June 15 and the new academic session would commence on July 13. A total of 50,425 students have registered on the Smarth portal for admission in the first semester of graduate courses in colleges and universities of the State.
