THDC India Limited (THDCIL) celebrated World Environment Day by planting saplings of indigenous species at the sustainable livelihood and community development centre in Rishikesh. The chairman and managing director, THDCIL R K Vishnoi spoke about his organisation’s commitment to environmental sustainability and laid stress on environmental stewardship and sustainable solutions to combat climate change. The event was inaugurated by the director (Personnel), THDCIL, Shallinder Singh. Among the dignitaries present were Padma Shri Kalyan Singh Rawat and noted environmentalist Sachidannand Bharti.
