In latest news from Uttarakhand, while reviewing the academic and administrative work being done in all the faculties in the DSB campus of Kumaun University in Nainital, the Governor Lt Gn Gurmit Singh (Retd) who is also the chancellor of the university said that with the groundwater level plummeting in the State, the scientists working for the universities should come forward to find scientific solutions to save the traditional water sources and naulas of Uttarakhand.
He further said that this university should also research on tourist and traffic management and give their concrete suggestions so that tourism and traffic can be managed properly, Also, the university should do research on the spirituality, literature and culture this region is rich with and highlight the historical importance and future possibilities of Manaskhand as a hub of pilgrimage.
