Workers of the company executing the Badrinath master plan stopped work after a dispute between its officials and the police in Badrinath on Sunday. The company workers protested in the temple township and said that they will not resume work till the police personnel seek an apology in writing. Action should also be taken against the police personnel concerned, they demanded. According to sources, some police personnel parked their vehicle near the Shesh Netra lake in Badrinath on Sunday. The project manager of the company asked the police personnel to move their vehicle from the place, which resulted in an argument between the two. The company’s project manager Vineet alleged that when he asked the police personnel to move the vehicle from the site, they started manhandling him. Following this, the workers stopped work on the Badrinath master plan. The sub divisional magistrate Chandrashekhar Vashishth said that the matter will be resolved. He added that the incident is being investigated.
