Enthused by the upward curve of Congress’s fortunes in the nation’s political arena, the party leaders and activists greeted the leader Rahul Gandhi on his 54th birthday. When Gandhi accompanied by his sister Priyanka Gandhi reached the AICC headquarters in Delhi he found a large number of leaders and workers waiting for him with flowers. The supporters also put up banners and posters along the stretch from 10, Janpath to the AICC office, greeting him on his birthday.
They said Rahul Gandhi embodied love and kindness amidst hatred and so his birthday should be celebrated by those who expect the country to be led by the benign force of love and not by the ruthless force of hatred. .
