Outsiders must state intention of buying land: CM
They must also state whether there are any criminal cases attached to them

In latest news from Doon, in the light of the recent shootout incident in the Raipur area of Dehradun, the chief minister Pushkar Singh Dhami directed the officers concerned to ensure that the outsiders wanting to purchase land in the State clearly state the objective of purchasing land. Besides, they must declare whether there is any criminal case attached to them, the CM said.
They must issue declaration on these two matters in the form of an affidavit and before proceeding on the land purchase application of outsiders, the State administration must conduct thorough probe to ascertain whether they have any criminal antecedents. He stressed that the criminal-minded people in the State must be identified. He was chairing a high-level meeting with the senior officers at his residence.
He also directed the chief secretary Radha Raturi to convene review meeting regularly with the officers concerned on wildfires, drinking water and electricity.
